Thank you for your interest in PLASTICS Standards Program. The primary expectation for participation is knowledge of the area covered by the particular B151 technical committee(s) along with a willingness to contribute your time and expertise.
PLASTICS uses the information in this application to determine your interest in the subject matter addressed by the technical committee(s) for which you are applying and to assure that technical committee appointments are made in a way that ensures that committees will contain a fair balance of interests. An individual's membership status (voting vs non-voting) is determined by the PLASTICS Standards Director in consultation with the respective technical committee chair and is based on the need to have a balance in voting membership between users, suppliers, and general interest (per ANSI requirements, no single interest category may constitute more than one‑third of the membership of a consensus body dealing with safety-related standards)
Technical committee members are expected to:
- Contribute technical expertise.
- Return ballots when required and notify PLASTICS of any change in employment occurring while participating on a technical committee.
If you would like to apply to be a member of a B151 technical committee, please complete the following brief application form.
